Senior Design Engineer: Ideally looking for a candidate with High Speed Automation Design experience. Job Overview: The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of packaging solutions that meet the companys product requirements, quality standards, and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in materials, structural analysis, and manufacturing processes related to packaging. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure that packaging solutions are cost-effective, durable, and environmentally friendly.Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:Lead the design and development of innovative packaging solutions for new and existing products.Perform structural analysis and testing to ensure packaging durability and protection during transportation and storage.Select appropriate materials based on product requirements, cost, and sustainability considerations.Project Management:Manage packaging projects from concept through production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop prototypes and production samples.Monitor and report on project progress, making adjustments as needed to meet project goals.Process Optimization:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance packaging efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize packaging for automated production and assembly.Develop and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and documentation.Sustainability:Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact through sustainable packaging designs.Evaluate and implement new materials and technologies that support company sustainability goals.Compliance and Quality:Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.Conduct quality assurance testing and troubleshooting to resolve packaging-related issues.Work with quality control teams to maintain high standards of packaging quality.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with product development, supply chain, and marketing teams to align packaging solutions with overall product strategy.Provide technical support and training to other departments on packaging-related matters.Act as the packaging subject matter expert in cross-functional meetings and decision-making processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in design engineering, with a strong focus automation backgroundProficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and packaging design tools.Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.Experience with sustainability initiatives and knowledge of eco-friendly materials and practices.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork skills
