Based in Ardmore, PA, we work in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the surrounding areas.POSITION: Construction EstimatorMISSION: The Construction Estimator works as part of a team with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to successfully estimate new projects and changes to existing projects. The Estimator's role on the team and in the company is provide a solid financial foundation for a successful project and to provide critical support to the field personnel to keep projects on schedule and on-budget. The Construction Estimator must be able to work independently and possess creative problem solving skills, exceptional organizational skills, and a patient, service oriented, "customer first" attitude.THE SUCCESSFUL PROJECT ESTIMATOR WILL:Be the point person responsible for leading the company's bidding of high end residential projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $30,000,000+Produce thorough, accurate and timely construction proposalsDevelop scope and prepare Pre-Construction Conceptual Budget Estimates and cost estimates at Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document phasesProduce Detailed Scope of Work Documents for all ProjectsPerform detailed material and labor takeoffsProvide constructability reviews of the drawings and specificationsAttend Pre-Bid Meetings, sub-contractor De-Scope Meetings, and make recommendations to the Project Manager and Project Team regarding contract awardsLead negotiations with subcontractors and material suppliersProduce detailed and thorough pricing analysis to support buyouts and procurementAssist in qualification and selection of subcontractorsWork collaboratively with the Project Managers and Project Superintendents to provide pricing support required of all ongoing projects, including bidding and producing Change Orders.Maintain a historical pricing database. Extend the capabilities of this database to yield faster estimates and more useable data for executive management and project teamsTake advantage of the continuing educational opportunities that Pinemar offers to increase your skills and your value to Pinemar and the residential construction industryPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:5+ years of performing detailed estimates and takeoffs for high end residential construction and remodeling projects4-year degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, OR applicable Estimating experienceField experience as an architect, superintendent, or project managerFamiliarity with multiple trades and developing scopes of workStrong construction software skills including, but not limited to Bluebeam, Revit, Procore, Smartsheets, Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.Strong organization and communication skills.The ability to work independently, without close supervisionGood communication skillsPossess a natural curiosity and ability to learnNeat appearanceReliable vehicleForty-hour work weekDriver's license and good driving recordDrug freeTOOLS REQUIRED:A positive "can-do" attitudeImpressive critical thinking skills.A strong work ethic
