The role involves coordinating work within the department and with other departments, assisting with training and mentoring new and entry-level credit analysts, and ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures established for the credit analysis function.Basic Qualifications:Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Specialized bank lending education/training is necessary.Skills:Intermediate to advanced commercial real estate underwriting skills and experienceProficient in English (reading, writing, grammar) and mathematicsAbility to manage a moderate workload consistently with limited oversightAttention to detail and ability to work under strict time requirementsProficient interpersonal relations, communication, and advanced organizational skillsIntermediate to advanced financial analysis skillsProficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn specific financial softwareThorough knowledge of current related regulationsAbility to train and/or mentor new credit administration personnelExperience:A minimum of three to five years of commercial credit underwriting experience, including commercial real estate and C&I lending-related experienceSBA and non-profit underwriting experience preferredGeneral Responsibilities:Perform credit analysis on more complex credits to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businessesCoordinate work within the department and with other departmentsAssist with training and mentoring new and entry-level credit analystsComply with operating policies and procedures established for credit analysisCommunicate with appropriate personnel and respond to inquiries or requests for informationMaintain appropriate records and provide assigned reportsEssential Duties:Receive applications and related financial data on prospective and active borrowing accountsAnalyse data and evaluate the short- and long-run prospects of individuals or businessesEnsure all credit analysis activities are conducted per the prescribed lending policyPrepare necessary cash flow analysis and generate financial ratiosDocument all financial analysis work thoroughlyMake recommendations on the structure of credits and the granting or denying of loansEvaluate customer records and recommend repayment optionsReview customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collectionCompare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluatedEvaluate data and information contained in third-party reports and documentsPrepare written compilations of analysis for review and presentationConfer with credit associations and other business representatives to exchange credit informationConsult with customers to verify financial and credit transactions and resolve complaintsManage and process multiple credit requests of varying complexityReview, update, and evaluate existing loan customer relationshipsAncillary Duties:Perform tasks supportive of the essential functions of the jobEquipment/Machines:TelephonePC/Computer keyboardPrinterCopy machineFax machineScannerCalculator
