MDS Assessor, RN

REQUIREMENTS * Experience preferred * MDS certification preferred * PRI Certification * RN License SPECIAL SKILLS * Knowledge of the Medicare regulations. * Excellent verbal and auditory skills required for communicating effectively and clearly with residents, families, physician and subordinates. * Must have knowledge of computer. DESCRIPTION * Ensures all Medicare determinations are completed in a timely manner. * Informs the Director of Nursing, Business Office and Social Service of all Medicare Determinations and Discontinuation of coverage. * Assess that necessary documentation required for Medicare coverage is completed. * Responsible for completion of Certification and Recertification forms and skilled care forms. * Coordinates the resident assessment (MDS+) and the care planning practices (RAPS). * Coordinates the quarterly preparation and submission of CMIs for RUG reimbursements * Completes MDS assessments as needed Job ***** Full-time ***** From $105,000.00 per year * Health insurance * Paid time off Medical ***** * Geriatrics * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * ***** 1 year (Required) License/***** * RN License (Required) * CPR Certification (Preferred) Work ***** In person
