Our client is looking to hire a temp to perm Cost Accountant. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting + Financial Reporting. This person will perform accounting department functions and support preparation of both internal + financial statements. They will perform cost analysis, executing all assigned accounting entries according to company policies and conforming to GAAP, reporting + ensuring controls are followed and in full compliance with SOX requirements. This person will be responsible for full account reconciliations, analyzing and explaining variances, working with relevant management team members to understand + address revenue, costs, and trends, and also make recommendations for improvements across areas of responsibility. This is a hybrid role requring 3 days on site. Job ***** Prepare and enter journal entries. Month end close Analyze + reconcile general ledger account balances Provide variance analysis (budget, forecasting + prior periods) Job ***** Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required. MS Office preferably in MS Excel required.
