The Field Neurologist is a key member of the Neuromuscular Therapeutic Area within the US Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation Community. S/he is a neurologist/ neuromuscular/neuroimmunology trained physician and serves as an expert on argenxs scientific data, products and trials, and is primarily responsible for engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other Heath Care Practitioners (HCPs) in close partnership with Medical Science Liaisons. This position is remote and will cover the following region: CENTRAL (WI, MI, OH, IL, IN, KY, PA, WV, Western VA, TN, AL, MS, LS, AR)Roles and Responsibilities:Expert medical resource and argenx ambassadorDevelop and continuously maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise of all relevant diseases, products, development plans, and be acknowledged internally and externally as a clinician expert Identify and develop productive collaborations with KOLs, Centers of Excellence, HCPs, other important customers and stakeholders, including professional organizations Proactively incorporates patients & physicians voice in the development of medical strategies & tactics as well as the needs of customers, including payers Provide support at identified medical congresses, advisory boards, and other KOL facing activities. Maintain a high level of knowledge of and appropriately implement current local pharmaceutical regulations and ensure compliance with all argenx policies and procedures Scientific/medical exchange and education, and insight generationDeliver high quality scientific/medical education in broad settings at academic and non-academic institutions (Seminars, grand rounds, etc.) Provide Neurology physician perspective to gather and analyze medical insights and collaborate with HQ Medical Directors to apply those insights to overall Medical strategy. In partnership with MSLs, become an integral part of the SBL Head region to provide medical and clinical expertise to local SBL markets and HCPs in accordance with the aligned Medical plan Identify potential high-impact medical research projects and publication opportunities, in line with argenx identified areas of interest. Ensure all external interactions are conducted in accordance with argenx objectives, compliance policies and procedures as well as with established legal and ethical standards Ensure all relevant knowledge, including activities and interaction with important contacts is systematically captured and disseminated within argenx as appropriate Cross-functional collaborationEnsure a close working relationship with all argenx functions, Neurology MSLs and cross-functional field partners. Skills and Competencies:Ability to quickly understand complex disease areas, treatments and clinical development plans, healthcare landscape, hospital systems, healthcare professionals, and patient journey Demonstrated ability to build productive collaborations with medical experts and centers of excellence Demonstrated ability to utilize video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.) and other digital resources/assets to engage KOLs and other HCPs. Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and when giving presentations Able to thrive as part of a team, community and when working independently Proven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targeted objectives Education, Experience and Qualifications:Medical Degree (M.D./D.O) Board certification in Neuromuscular Medicine, Neuroimmunology, or Neurology 5-10 years post-fellowship US clinical practice experience Experience in clinical development and research preferred Experience in clinical R&D and/or medical affairs preferred Knowledge of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals Valid drivers license Ability for 50-75% travel as needed #LI-RemoteAt argenx, all applicants are welcomed in an inclusive environment.
