Job SummaryWe are looking for an individual to join our US Cash Sales team with Standard Chartered Bank in New York, reporting to the New York based Managing Director, Cash Sales. The successful candidate will have to be present in the office 3 days per week reporting to Global Transaction Sales cash responsibilities for US-headquartered names both domestically and throughout the Standard Chartered network. In this position, the candidate will focus on identifying and presenting global cash management solutions and deepening the product/market penetration with the assigned portfolio of clients, working closely with the internal coverage, product, implementation, and service teams. The candidate will deliver and implement cash management, liquidity, and transactional FX solutions for the Global Corporates and Development Organizations sectors for both existing and prospective clients. The role will also have exposure to our broker dealer and investors segment. The ideal candidate will have Global Transaction Banking Sales experience in these sectors.The experienced candidate will develop close relationships with the key cash management influencers to identify and execute on opportunities through a deep understanding of the clients business needs, footprint, buying centers, and decision-making process. The candidate will further support the team with managing the execution of new business and revenue realization in accordance with local regulations as well as Standard Chartereds internal conditions.We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Cash Sales team, policies, clients and partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth. We believe that a willingness to acquire new skills will contribute to success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of client level revenue for cash management along with cross sell into trade and financial markets, including FX and time deposits.Introduce new innovations to market segment through collaborations or co-creations, working closely with internal teams for development and external teams for execution.Collaborative team environment involving key internal stakeholders in the US and throughout the Standard Chartered network.Execute activities in line with sales pipeline policy and ensure end-to-end sales discipline.Document negotiation for new to bank business as well as annual reviews and ad hoc requests.Analytical support of current business and opportunities as well as drive initiatives around new product rolloutsKey CriteriaAt least 5 years of relevant Cash Management Sales Experience with Global Corporates. Experience in Development Organizations sector preferred.Ability to identify client needs, present cash management solutions, and close deals with top financial institutions within this segment.Client engagement through face to face and virtual meetings with travel required (generally up to 20% of time)Broad banking experience with a deep knowledge of transaction banking products.Business Spanish a plus for prospecting.Responsible for delivering against the Americas and Global Cash Management strategy. This includes targeting new segments, growing/managing an existing assigned portfolio of clients, driving new initiatives, and continuing to develop new product skills to meet our client needs within the Standard Chartered network. Day-to-Day TasksManage and grow revenues for assigned client portfolio; prospect and drive new businessProvide business reporting to senior management, including pipeline reviews, key client wins, and industry/ market developmentsUnderstand client needs and pain points and engage key influencers and decision makers (internally and externally) to develop targeted proposals and pitches. Take an advisory approach to client relationships.Help structure innovative and complex cash management solutions; work with Structured Solutions Development (SSD) teams as needed on select topics (instant payments/collections and mobile money, cash forecasting, pooling and liquidity management, digital innovation, etc.)Develop and co-create cash (payments/collections), liquidity and transactional FX solutions with clients.Partner with Sales, Coverage and Product across the banks network markets to drive revenue and defend existing businessUse sales tools (CRMx, document storage, pricing platform, liquidity reporting, revenue reporting) as part of the sales discipline process. Ensure all sales discipline and regulatory requirements are adhered to. Promote the SC brand and exemplify the values of the Group in all undertakings, including adherence to the Group Code of Conduct. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
