The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is currently seeking a Product Manager, Innovation Solutions to join their newly created Assessment Transformation Team. The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the development of groundbreaking new assessment solutions. This individual will help guide the entire innovation lifecycle from ideation to launch. They will identify market trends, user needs, and opportunities for innovation to leverage emerging technologies and drive the creation of cutting-edge offerings that transform the assessment industry.Reporting to the Director, Innovation Strategy and Solutions, the Product Manager has the following primary responsibilities:Engage in strategic thinking to identify and pursue new opportunities for innovation. Help drive the innovation process, from idea generation to execution, and challenge the status quo to create entirely new user experiences.Market Research and Analysis: Coordinate with front-end customer operations and communications teams to inform risk, value, and go-to-market strategy for physician-facing solutions. Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in physician assessment and relevant healthcare technologies.Collaborate internally and externally with doctors, patients, technology and assessment experts, and thought leaders to generate new ideas, and construct value propositions that assist in the selection and prioritization of potential solutions to test and scale. Work with the team to explore, evaluate, and prototype cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and mixed reality to reimagine the physician assessment processes.Foster a culture of creativity and implement structured processes for idea generation and development of an innovation project pipeline in accordance with the organization's strategic vision and transformation goals.Manage the collection and evaluation of prototyping and piloting performance data to inform further development and iteration of products. Assess resourcing needs, manage innovation tools and platforms, and understand ABIM's technology infrastructure and solution requirements (e.g., security requirements) to inform the development and scaling of technology solutions.Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Software Engineering, Innovation and Technology or a closely related field. Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A certification in product management, Agile or scrum is a plus. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role and at least 2 years of experience in product management is required.A person with an innovative mindset, a high degree of flexibility, and a strong interest in innovation and new technology, particularly in healthcare, will flourish in this role. The successful incumbent will be adept in handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines, and capable of presenting findings persuasively to influence decision-making.Ideal candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in collaborative teamwork within interdisciplinary settings. Additional advantageous qualifications include experience in data analysis and interpretation, experience in large language models, and software development life-cycle management and methodologies.This role requires an on-site office presence at least two days per week.
