Master Scheduler

SUMMARYThe Master Scheduler will be charged with the responsibility of managing, establishing, reviewing, and maintaining a master schedule. Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall strategic improvement. Core competencies include strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization with emphasis on Inventory & Capacity Plan (SIOP). Drive, promote and develop positive communications throughout entire organizationRESPONSIBILITIESImprove forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projectsFurther develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days inventory and cash cycleWork in conjunction with other area owners/managers/engineers to help create schedules in a fast paces environment with competing customer demands and schedules.Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirementsCoordinate and plan materials requirements for new product introductions, including review of new BOM's and cut in dates for build verification and production unitsReview material shortages, stock outages and safety stock levels while working with Supply chain, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet customer requirementsBecome subject matter expert with our systems and scheduling toolsProactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact manufacturing and supply exception messagesMust be able to merge multiple projects to create a master schedule with resources and test equipment allocationsQUALIFICATIONS2-5 years of Supply Chain/Project Manager/Master Scheduling experienceExperience in defense/manufacturing environment preferredAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft ProjectBA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experienceCOMPENSATION: $80,000-$90,000/yr.
