Please note this is a on-site position.In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we provide a safe and inclusive work environment that appreciates diversity, promotes development and allows our associates to be their authentic selves.Chemist ResponsibilitiesMust have a solid understanding and foundation in innovation, product development, regulatory, & packaging development with a proven history leading innovation projects in a CPG environmentMentoring and leading with the ability to assemble, build, manage and lead a team of highly skilled Chemists and Lab TechsIdentify consumer trends, lead consumer research, identify potential opportunities, unmet consumer needsManage the projects of new product development for Hair care, Skin care, Men care division, and OTCManage the compliance of domestic and/or foreign Regulatory AgencyConduct research to develop new products, manufacturing procedures and specifications for new productsAssist company in prioritizing financial/business opportunities for larger scale innovation projectsSupport marketing and quality assurance/control team in dealing with technical and quality issues raised by customersDrive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standardization across all phases of R&D and throughout the organization.Formulates and recommends research and development guidelines and time lines in accordance with project objectivesIdentify new cost savings initiatives, new suppliers while maintaining product qualityCoordinate with ingredient manufacturers and internal departments to help correct and optimize product issuesMonitor and maintain R&D laboratory and testing equipment including purchasing of testing equipment in a cost-effective manner, conduct or arrangement equipment calibrations and preventative maintenanceEducation and ExperienceMust have Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry, Masters Preferred.Must have 10 plus years' experience in formulation of personal care developmentStrong Knowledge of scientific data such as material safety data sheet (SDS), certificate of analysis, stability testing, compatibility testing, microbiology testing, OTC & compliance
