We are in search of a Buyer to join our team in Addison, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing supply chain processes, planning and purchasing material components, and maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet our production and customer needs. This role requires a strategic approach to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.**Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill their material requirementsIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliabilityEstablish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnershipsNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliersMonitor inventory levels and perform regular stock assessmentsImplement inventory control systems to manage stock levels and reduce excess inventoryCoordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flowCreate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryTrack and expedite orders to meet production schedules and deadlinesResolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, including returns and replacementsAnalyze and manage procurement costs to achieve budget targetsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement expensesConduct market research to stay updated on pricing trends and changesMaintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and inventory dataPrepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key metrics and KPIsUtilize data analysis tools to drive decision-making and process improvementsEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulationsManage risks associated with supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plansStay informed about industry regulations and changes that may impact procurement practices**Bachelors degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management3+ years purchasing experienceProficiency in MS Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft ExcelExperience with purchasing materials and procurementProficiency in contract negotiation and pricing negotiationStrong communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teamsDemonstrated knowledge of purchasing functions in a retail or manufacturing environmentAbility to analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availabilityExperience in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and proceduresProven track record in meeting purchasing operational standards by contributing purchasing information to strategic plans and reviewsAbility to resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
