The Spear Group Full-Time w/ BenefitsPosition: Maintenance Repair & Operations Specialist: Pharma Manufacturing Parts Inventory Location: Durham , North Carolina Position Summary:The Spear Group has an excellent opportunity for a technical Manufacturing Maintenance Repair & Operations Specialist with manufacturing inventory experience to gain valuable pharmaceutical manufacturing best practices experience with our top tier pharma client in the Durham, North Carolina area. This is an excellent opportunity, under the supervision of a Manager, for a Maintenance, Repair & Operations Specialist to be responsible for providing important day-to-day support for the pharma manufacturing site's preventive and corrective maintenance area with respect to manufacturing operations activities. Assigned tasks include buying OEM inventory, ensuring proper goods receipt of inventory, processing new additions and change forms, storing inventory, issuing parts against a work order or cost center, cycle counting physical inventory, and processing min/max changes. The ideal candidate will actively ensure compliance to Good Documentation Practices, Safety, good housekeeping practices and Environmental regulations while achieving operating cost goals.Key Responsibilities:Ensures strict adherence to standard operating procedures, policies, and standard business practices.Maintain proper management of spare parts inventory, to improve site reliability.Interacts with hourly, salaried and contract employees in routine matters, troubleshooting inventory management, and continuous improvement project work.Maintains a high level of technical knowledge and coordinates safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and environmental compliance programs.Participates in root cause investigations, evaluates, improves business processes and develops rationale for improvements.Provides reports, data and information to support on-going operations.Frequently communicates with immediate supervisor about status of projects or assignments.Develops strong relationships with site operations to ensure consensus on operational compliance issues.Supports routine safety and regulatory inspections.Required Experience and Education: High School Diploma or equivalent3-5 warehousing and inventory management experienceSourcing and procurement of MRO itemsPallet jack operation and safety experienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.Good interpersonal skills including flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.Good analytical abilities, organizational skills, written and verbal communications.Preferred:Manufacturing, electrical, mechanical or automation experience.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERThe Spear Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employers.
