Job Title: Supply/Inventory ManagerLocation: Detroit, MISalary Range: $65,000 - $70,000Our client is seeking an experienced supply chain and inventory leader with a well-established network in Michigans cannabis industry. Candidates must have 4+ years of relevant experience, along with in-depth knowledge of cannabis operations and the local market.Job Description:The Supply/Inventory Manager will oversee the management and optimization of inventory levels, ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods for a cannabis manufacturing facility. This role will focus on maintaining accurate stock levels to meet production demands while minimizing costs, collaborating with various teams, and managing supplier relationships.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support production and minimize holding costs.Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.Analyze sales trends, production schedules, and seasonal fluctuations to forecast inventory needs and avoid stockouts or overstocking.Oversee storage practices for safe and efficient inventory management, optimizing warehouse space utilization.Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.Place orders based on inventory forecasts and production schedules, tracking shipments to ensure timely arrival.Manage inbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery of materials to the manufacturing facility.Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions if needed.Collaborate with production teams to align inventory levels with production schedules, ensuring material availability.Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to adjust supply plans according to demand forecasts.Track KPIs such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, and supplier lead times.Provide regular reports to management on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and any issues impacting production or sales.Analyze inventory and supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all incoming materials meet required standards.Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions like supplier delays or material shortages.This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in a dynamic cannabis manufacturing environment, partnering with leading brands in the industry.About Vangst:Vangst is the cannabis industry's hiring platform.
