Location(s): Oswego, ILPosition Title: Special Education TeacherHours/Shift: 37.5 hours per weekPay: $45 - $48/hrDuration (Direct Placement, Contract, C2H): 40 WeeksJob Description/Role Responsibilities:Caseload Type: Autism Spectrum DisorderGrades: Elementary - High SchoolProgram: Autism Program - Communication & Adaptive Behavior ProgramEssential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:- Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectivescontained within each student's IEP.- Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments toinstructional techniques.- Employs various teaching techniques, methods, and principles of learning to enable students tomeet their IEP goals.- Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students toinclude: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goalsand objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals.- Coordinates the delivery of special education services in each students IEP.Qualifications:Must:-ISBE Professional Educator's License (PEL)-Licensed Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) Endorsement-1 Year of special education teaching experiencePlus:-2+ years of special education teaching experienceEducation/Licenses/Certifications:-Bachelor's Degree-ISBE Professional Educator's License (PEL)-Licensed Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) EndorsementBenefits:-Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k)-40 hours of accrued PTO-Weekly Pay-Licensure Reimbursement-CEU Reimbursement-Referral BonusJob Type: Full-timePay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 per weekBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
