To learn more about the company please visit .PurposePerform detailed control system design and software development for moderately complex engineering assignments, which are stand-alone, or components of a larger project. This position applies specific knowledge of automated and process control systems to manufacturing processes with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance and perform all duties in accordance with all safety, health and environmental rules and regulationsDevelop and implement results oriented, value-added engineering solutions that achieve predetermined project goals and customer needs and/or requirementsDevelop project documentation using corporate engineering standards, specifications, prints, and schematicsDevelop detailed design of automation and process control systems that integrate PCs, PLCs, variable speed drives, motion control, and related process control systemsWork closely with corporate engineering controls team and manufacturing IT team on implementing the latest standards on automation and data reporting systemsDevelop, configure and debug control system programming including PLC's, OT networks, HMI and/or specialty component softwareDevelop standard engineering and project management practices consistently throughout project and work assignmentsDevelop technical skills and knowledge by attending seminars, webinars and other relevant related eventsLead and Develop new technology with corporate engineering, consulting engineers, and equipment vendorsLead plant electricians on control systems, instrumentation and other related systemsSupervise installation qualityPerform other duties as necessaryModel company core valuesRequired QualificationsExcellent verbal, listening and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDetail oriented with high level of accuracy Ability to work in a highly functional team environmentWorking knowledge of industry technological developments and best practicesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasksPreferred QualificationsOregon Journey Level Electrician (or ability to obtain) and/or Associates degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science)Experience in PLC programming with any of the following PLC's; Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, MitsubishiPrior experience in wood products facilitiesPrior manufacturing experience in 24/7 operationsAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER INCLUDING DISABILITY AND VETERANS
