Position Summary:The Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role for the Department of Leadership in Education Administration & Development (LEAD) in the School of Education serving as a dynamic force in attracting, retaining, and engaging graduate students in all of the LEAD programs. These programs include MA emphasis in HEAL, MA emphasis in Superintendent Licensure, Certificates in Leadership (non-licensure), Leadership (superintendent licensure only), Educational Policy, and Data Analytics and Decision-making. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive strategy that encompasses prospect generation, applicant retention, enrolled student retention, and graduate student engagement efforts. Under the direction of the LEAD Department Chair, the Coordinator will work closely with prospective and current LEAD graduate students, faculty, and staff to enhance overall graduate enrollment, experiences and to foster long-term professional success for our students. Part-time (.49 FTE), Term (ending September 30, 2025)Key Responsibilities:Outreach & Prospect Generation:Conduct in-person and virtual outreach activities across key markets in-state and out-of-state to attract prospective graduate applicants to all of the LEAD programs.Help develop and execute marketing, advertising, and outreach campaigns tailored to specific LEAD programs.Graduate Applicant Retention:Communicate regularly with prospective applicants via phone, email and text messages to address concerns, facilitate follow-through as well as a smooth application process.Graduate Student Retention and Engagement: Implement retention strategies such as calls, emails, and text messages for enrollment, Blackboard use and financial mattersProactively reach out to students who may need additional support and provide assistance as needed.Conduct regular check-ins with an emphasis on at risk and first semester students.Ensure access to on-campus programming.Promote relevant campus activities to encourage participation.Administrative Support:Maintain the "Master List" database of prospective, current and former students.Assist the Department Chair and work collaboratively with the administrative assistant with Workday functions.Act as liaison with various stakeholders across campus such as the Office of Graduate Studies, Budget & Finance, Registrar, Financial Aid, Alumni Relations, Marketing, etc.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degreeExperience working in an education environmentExcellent communication skills both written and oralExcellent interpersonal skills and a high level of decorumStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamPreferred Qualifications:Masters degreePrevious experience in graduate student outreach, retention, or student affairsKnowledge of digital marketing and outreach techniquesExperience with Workday or similar systemFamiliarity with data analysis is a plusGraphic design and/or video production skills are a plusSalary & Benefits:The pay range for this position is $20,700-$23,556 a Part-time .49 FTE to commensurate with experience and education with retirement benefits.
