The Production Manager ensures that the manufacturing of the aluminum framing and glazing products meet or exceed the quality, efficiency, and on time delivery expectation of the company standards. In addition, the Production Manager ensures that the facilities and processes conform to the OSHA, ICC, UL, & NFRC standards by strictly following the quality management system and its appropriate documentation.Benefits include a competitive salary, medical/dental/vision insurance with HSA plan, retirement plan with 4% company match, 10 days of Paid Time Off plus 10 paid company holidays, and upward advancement potential.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the facility safety and process advocate in conjunction with other leadership.Inspect machinery daily for proper usage and guarding.Accurately report all floor changes and corrections on shop orders.Maintain daily shipping schedule and communicate changes to the appropriate personnel in a timely mannerContinuously look for ways to control costs by eliminating unnecessary wastes and maximize efficiency within the groupAnticipate and resolve team breakdowns resulting from change. Identify and remedy barriers to change, and proactively promote the benefits of changeResolve problems by identifying and analyzing issues logically and comprehensively, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant informationActively participate in cross training activities with the framing & glazing fabrication team to ensure the process can flow for a period of two weeks or more in the absence of a supervisor.Oversee all aspects of proper packaging and crating of framing & glazing.Communicate with all department employees on a daily basis & follow up on open issues.Provide performance feedback and coaching of employees.Issue timely disciplinary action in accordance with the established guidelines.Coordinate processes and material within the facility to ensure on-time delivery as outlined in the facility schedule.Focus efforts on continuous improvement and safety objectives in conjunction with the Plant ManagerProvide recommendations and conduct yearly reviews of all direct reports in joint effort with the Plant Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of progression in a production supervision roll, preferably in the manufacturing of raw materials to finished goods setting.Knowledge and experience in safely operating saws, notching, drilling, and other manufacturing machinery.Ability to use and understand basic measuring instruments.Ability to count accurately and record production data.Ability to safely and effectively operate an electric or propane-powered sit-down forklift, and overhead crane is a plus, though not required.Experience working with integrated manufacturing software.Knowledge of Microsoft office products.Bilingual abilities a plus.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.At Kingspan, we believe our employees are our greatest resource.
