Keith Willig Landscape Architecture (KWLA) is growing its design practice and is seeking a qualified Landscape Designer to join the team! KWLA is a small but busy studio with potential for new members to expand and deepen their experience. We are a close, small-knit group that prides itself on stellar office culture and creating new opportunities for coworkers.Job Description and **KWLA designs sustainable, modern residential landscapes throughout the bay area. As a Landscape Designer in our office, you will participate in the design process, from conceptual design to construction observation. You will gain exposure to our day-to-day operations by performing the *Manage custom residential projects; collaborate with the project team on designAct as lead on project communications with clients, city offices, contractors, and consultantsQuality assurance for project deliverablesEstablish schedules and manages deadline for the internal teamMentor junior team membersThe Qualified Candidate *Have experience in all aspects of design and construction documentation; solving issues creatively and comprehensivelyBe proficient in AutoCAD and/or Vector Works, Adobe, Microsoft, ExcelBe WELO experiencedHave California native plant knowledgeOversee multiple, concurrent projects, managing scope of work, schedule, and budgets effectivelyPossess an aptitude for independent and autonomous work, but also mesh well with team membersBe comfortable with and enjoy client interactionPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsApplicants will have at least five years of work experience and either a Masters of Landscape Architecture or a five-year Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design.
