We are currently recruiting a Special Education Teacher for SY 24-25. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs, collaborating with parents, specialists, and other educators.Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses, monitor progress, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.Instructional Strategies: Design and deliver effective, differentiated instruction that accommodates various learning styles and abilities.Behavior Management: Create and enforce behavior management plans to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to coordinate support and resources for students.Advocacy: Advocate for students' needs and rights, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services.Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices, legal requirements, and advancements in special education through ongoing professional development.Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with families about student progress, needs, and ways they can support learning at home.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP meetings, and communications with families and other professionals.Community Resources: Connect families with community resources and support services as needed.These responsibilities aim to create a supportive and effective learning environment that promotes the success of students with special needs.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have Special Education Teaching Certification in Illinois / Professional Educators License (PEL)Must have at least 1 year SPED teacher experienceOur team at Schoolforce appreciates our unique responsibility of providing an equal learning opportunity for all students- we hope to transform a broken educational system.
