Job Title: Part-Time Parent Engagement Specialist - 20 to 25 hours a weekLocation: Canaryville, Chicago, ILIndustry: Nonprofit / EducationPay: $22-25 per hourAbout Our Client:Our client is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential support services to underserved communities in Chicago. They specialize in programs that foster educational success, family engagement, and workforce development. They are currently seeking a Parent Engagement Specialist on a part-time basis.Job Description:The Parent Engagement Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, engaging, and supporting parents and students from the Tilden High School community. This role will involve building relationships, organizing events, and facilitating communication between the school and parents to ensure families are informed and connected to available resources.Key Responsibilities:Recruit and engage parents and youth within the Tilden High School communityDevelop and manage communication channels including newsletters, social media, emails, and phone callsOrganize workshops, informational sessions, and events to keep parents informed about school programs and policiesCollaborate with school staff and community members on prevention programsProvide guidance on available school and community resources, including tutoring, counseling, and extracurricular activitiesTake on additional projects or tasks as neededQualifications:Experience in customer service, outreach, or retail rolesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsBilingual in English and Spanish (required)Additional Details:Hours: 8am-3pm with a 30-minute lunch (flexible schedule) - 20 TO 25 HOURS A WEEKDress Code: Business casualPerks:Opportunity to work directly with families and impact community engagementFlexible work scheduleSupport a meaningful cause through collaboration with a longstanding nonprofitAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
