Summary: Supervises, coordinates, and participates in the receipt of all ingredients, production and packing supplies, maintenance, and office supplies, etc. Uses various pallet jacks and finger lifts to transport items to the specific assigned inventory locations throughout the bakery. Follows strict guidelines regarding receiving, rotation, storage, and processing of materials. Maintains the cleanliness and integrity of all inventory areas. Maintains inventory levels at the multiple use locations throughout the bakery. Supervises a team of warehouse associates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Fully versed and trained in GMP and Food Safety as it pertains to FIFO, CofA's, Lot and batch identification, inspection of transport vehicles and ingredient components. Ensures warehouse follows company Food Safety Policies, SQF guidelines and allergen management policy.Inventory management: Ensuring that products are available when needed by tracking inventory levels, ordering new supplies, and instructing staff on stock takes.Shipping and Receiving: Overseeing the timely receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring that proper guidelines are followed when receiving all materials. Safety: Maintaining a safe working environment, monitoring warehouse associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery. Follows the standard operating procedures. (SOP) Ensure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Communication: Communicate status of shipments of ingredients, Inventory control and reporting of inventory adjustments as required. Following all written and verbal instructions given by Facility, Quality Assurance and Plant Manager.Process improvement: Analyzing shipment logs, reviewing delivery timeliness, and making suggestions for improvements. Develops and improves warehouse processes and procedures. Escalates issues to managers and recommends potential solutions. Employee Management: Training, guiding, and evaluating new warehouse workers, and helping to manage employees' relations. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that warehouse equipment is properly maintained, report any issues as they occur. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse inventory control software.Ability to complete OSHA Regulation Training Annually, Annual GMP Training, Hi-LOSupervisory experience is desired.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
