One of our clients, a mid-sized law firm with 11 offices across the United States, is seeking a litigation associate with 2-4 years of experience to work on a variety of litigation matters for public agency clients. The firm represents governmental entities such as cities, counties, transit agencies, water districts, and public pension plans in complex litigation, including both defense and plaintiff roles.Key **Represent public agency clients in litigation involving environmental regulations, water law, construction claims, real estate, public procurement, and constitutional matters.Handle cases related to compliance with the Brown Act and Public Records Act.Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery in state and federal courts.Assist in eDiscovery processes and manage discovery in complex cases.Collaborate with the legal team to manage large infrastructure projects and breach of contract claims.Take ownership of significant projects, managing multiple cases efficiently.2-4 years of litigation experience, preferably with public agency or complex litigation.Strong legal research and writing skills.Experience drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.Familiarity with eDiscovery and some deposition experience is preferred.Admission to the State Bar of California is required.Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and take initiative.*** San Francisco or Los Angeles, CAWork ***** Hybrid (expected to come to the office at least twice a week)***** $175,000 to $195,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
