We offer our customers a broad array of services across their entire supply chain, including truckload, brokerage, dedicated, intermodal, and value-added services.Currently, Universal is seeking Financial Analyst candidates for a position based out of our corporate office in Warren, MI. This position will work directly within our Finance Department as a part of our Financial Planning & Analysis Team with exposure to Executive Leadership.Some responsibilities of this position **Execute all the primary functions of corporate finance - planning, budgeting, advising, analyzing, presenting and supporting corporate objectives set forth by both senior leadership and executivesDesign, prepare and present professional, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports and narratives for senior leadership, executives and stakeholdersWork closely with operations both at the corporate and facility level to identify, measure, and track financial performance and operational KPI'sDesign, build and utilize complex spreadsheets and models to support the business unitPerform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis on an as needed basisInvestigate and report cost variances and develop strategies to reduce and/or eliminate costsDevelop mastery of Universal's chart of accounts for proper coding of expenses to ensure the accuracy of reporting and business intelligence toolsRelevant technological ** Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointFinancial reporting and business intelligence softwareDatabase and file managementQualified applicants will possess the ***** Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar business-related field2-4+ years of financial and accounting analysis experienceStrong analytical, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalResults driven work ethic with a sense of urgency to hit deadlinesAbility to work independently and in a groupFamiliarity with transportation and logistics a plusIn addition to a competitive salary, this position offers medical & dental benefits, FSA, 401k, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and upward mobility within a growing company.If you are an energetic, self-motivated individual with the drive to become part of a growing organization, respond today!
