Our success is the direct result of our relentless commitment to providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to the driver of our organization, our customer.POSITION PURPOSEProvides proactive advice and counsel to all levels of the plant in developing people strategies that align with and drive the departments and companys business objectives. Consults with department leadership to build people management capability throughout the facility. Serves as catalyst for culture change by ensuring that department strategies, tactics and practices are aligned with desired Parkdale's behaviors and guiding principles. Key customers include Division VP, VP of HR, Plant Manager and department leadership.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESAnticipates and assesses the gaps between business needs and people systems/capabilities within their client departments.Leads the development of HR initiatives in client departments related to staffing, retention, organizational development, and performance management.Serves as a member of the leadership teams of client departments to drive HR and business objectives at a plant level.Collaborates with Corporate HR in strategic planning process.*****The human resource manager is responsible for selecting qualified candidates. HR will be responsible for initial interviews as well as pre-employment and onboarding processes.Must be able to manage legal compliance of employee records as well as maintain HR records.The Human Resource Manager must have knowledge of FMLA, Workers Compensation, Federal and State employment laws.Coordinate and conduct monthly safety training with all managers and hourly associates at the plant and ensure employees at the facility are adhering to the safety polices.Investigate employee complaints/concerns and work towards an effective resolution.Review and submit weekly payroll on a timely manner.Have strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.Proficient in Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Vast experience working with ADP Vantage suite.
