Our areas of specialization include complex income and property division; contested child custody; relocation; valuation of family and closely held businesses assets; privacy and reputation management; prenuptial agreements; the protection of multi-generaional wealth; and divorce appeals.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney located in Westport, CT. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, agreements, financial affavits; legal research; speaking to clients; and, assisting the attorneys with litigation preparation and court proceedings. Associate will shadow senior lawyers to learn the intricacies of family law. A desire to litigate and be in the courtroom is a must.QualificationsCourtroom and litigation experience is a plus;Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with a GPA of 3.6 (Law Review, Moot Court, etc. a plus);Admission to the Connecticut Bar;Admission to the New York Bar is a plus;Must present as articulate, highly sophisticated with a high social IQ;Common sense is a must;Elite research and analytical skills;Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;Attention to detail and strong organizational skills must be a given;Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;Strong working knowledge of Connecticut Family Law, Case Law, Statutes; and Connecticut Rules of Practice a plus;Strong working knowlege of New York Family Law, Case Law, Statutes, and NY Rules of Practice is plus;Knowledge and expreience with the Appellate process in Connecticut is a plus;
