Organization Mission and HistoryMission: Through a unique and community-driven approach, Raise the Bar Family Services Inc. (RTB) aims to enhance the overall well-being of individuals with disabilities and their families by developing high-quality programs, cultivating an inclusive community, and making resources more accessible for all.Raise the Bar is a small, start-up nonprofit that launched in October 2022 and supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Camden, NJ. We are looking for a motivated and highly organized candidate to join our small but growing team!This is a hybrid part-time work opportunity for education or youth development professionals in the Southern New Jersey/Greater Philadelphia area. There will be in-person meetings and events located in Camden, NJ. Candidates will be expected to work in-person in Camden approximately 2 days per week.Kids Club ResponsibilitiesDescription: Kids Club is Raise the Bar's youth program for ages 3-11-year-olds that takes place one Saturday per month. This position will become the lead person for planning and executing this event, with a ramp-up, transitional period to better understand its current structure. Planning & Execution:Create program plan document for each event, sharing with RTB staff and leadership CommitteePrepare all materials prior to the eventLead Kids Club program day of event; orient volunteers prior to youth arrivalProgram Partners:Serve as main liaison between Raise the Bar and program partners, scheduling them for Kids Club events and conducting planning meetings prior to eventsVolunteer Preparation:Outreach to registered volunteers for Kids Club to confirm their attendanceMatch & assign registered youth with volunteersCreate volunteer role documentSend volunteer email reminders prior to eventCaregiver Night ResponsibilitiesDescription: Once a month, we host a caregiver night for our community which is either a workshop or self-care night for our caregivers. We provide dinner and childcare for the event. This position would be the lead person for the childcare portion of the event.Planning & Execution:Create a general plan for the youth during the event, including some group activities and some individual activitiesPrepare all materials prior to the eventSet up the room for the event and lead execution of childcare on the night ofVolunteer Preparation:Outreach to registered volunteers to confirm their attendance and additional outreach, as needed, for more volunteers based on number of youths expectedMatch & assign registered youth with volunteersCreate volunteer role documentOversee and provide support to volunteers during eventsOther ResponsibilitiesSupport other program areas, as neededSupport volunteer training, management, and recruitment initiatives, as neededSalary and benefits:This position is part-time, approximately 25 hours per week, with the opportunity to explore a full-time opportunity in the future. Hourly payment will range from $22-$28 based on experience.Flexible work environmentUnlimited PTOExperience and QualificationsRequired:Must be 18 years or olderDetail-oriented and strong organizational skillsStrong and professional communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeGeneral technology proficiencyInterest in Raise the Bars missionExperience with early childhood education or other type of youth programsExperience in the disability sector and with diverse populationsStrongly preferred:Database management experienceSpanish Language proficiency
