The Opportunity:Clarion's Digital Marketing Division is the home of market-leading brands Affiliate Summit, Traffic & Conversion Summit & Creator Economy Live.Affiliate Summit runs the largest affiliate events in the world attracting thousands of advertisers, networks, agencies and affiliates from the US and around the globe. It runs twice a year, on the East (NYC) and West Coast (Las Vegas). In 2023 we also launched Creator Economy Live - the first and largest event to focus on influencer marketing for enterprise brands - alongside the West coast edition. Our Vegas show sells out every year, and as EVERYBODY is now shoppingonline we continue to grow at double digit rates.We are looking for a full-time team member to support the operations team across all our events. Our events, venuesand vendors are based in the US however our team overall is split between our US and UK offices. We are open toremote candidates (must be based in the US), however we greatly prefer someone able to commute to our Shelton, CT offices at least twice a week. The candidate would also be expected to travel onsite to each of our events throughout theyear to fulfill both their, and the operations teams responsibilities, which would currently amount to a minimum of three times a year for up to a week or slightly more at a timeThe Candidate:The ideal candidate will have operations experience managing and delivering medium-sized conferences, small-sized trade shows or some sort of applicable experience with live events. We are looking for someone who has experience with trade shows, i.e. managing floor plans, exhibitor booths and general contractors, as well as working with hotels and venues. Experience with managing event apps is also a bonus, but not a requirement. They will be detailed-orientatedand creative with an ability to multi-task and manage all relevant operations aspects of the show.You will love a fast-paced environment and be able to organize your own time. We are looking for a motivated, proactive person and team player.Duties and Responsibilities:As Operations Assistant, you will be required to aid in delivering four trade shows annually. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing the following:RESPONSIBILITIES· Delivering floor plans, exhibitor booth assignments, general contractor exhibitor order kits· Main contact for event security supplier including selection, scheduling and onsite management· Working with our partnered hotels to manage the hotel blocks for both general attendees, our internal team and any supplier needs· Event apps management (no coding experience required)· Assisting Operations Manager with event/temp staff scheduling and onsite management· Overseeing the booking and tracking of team travel and accommodations for each of our four events throughout the year· Sourcing and managing official event photographer(s)· Shipment / Delivery tracking leading up to, during, and following events, including managing inventory between events· Assisting Operations Manager in sourcing and booking venues for parties and/or networking events which support the overall event· Updating budgets, projecting costs and processing vendor payments· Sourcing various gifts for sponsors, vendors, speakers, etc.· Assisting operations team with event orders, shipping management and administrative dutiesWhat you bring to the table:· 1-2 years of live event experience or similar equivalent preferred (but not required)Passionate about live events and customer service· Experience managing live events, preferably medium-sized conferences and/or trade shows in hotels orconvention centers· Experience in fulfilling a floor plan including overall layouts, exhibitor booth assignments, etc.· Strong communication skills with ability to present information and ideas· Strong excel skills are required· Ability to effectively manage one's time and meet deadlines at a high standard· Excellent attention to detail· Problem solverWhat's in it for me?Competitive base salary dependent upon experienceBonus based on challenging but achievable targets100% remote position considered but otherwise Hybrid (some travel expected depending on role)Generous PTO & Company-paid Holidays: this includes a day off for your birthday every year, the entire week of July 4th AND the entire last week of the year off.A full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, HSA (plus employer contrition), and FSA.Basic life, long-term disability & short-term disability are covered at 100%.401(k) Plan with employer match.Opportunity to travel across the country to attend our shows and meet people from a multitude of different industries.Who is Clarion?Clarion Events North America, which is the US division of Clarion Events UK, and backed by The Blackstone Group has become one of the fastest-growing event companies in the United States, with aggressive growth through both acquisition and launch.
