We are looking for faculty who are passionate about providing excellent service to ensure a high-quality student experience and collaborative working environment.Job DescriptionThe School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks applications from potential adjunct clinical instructors for med-surg.All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals, and objectives of Holy Family University.ResponsibilitiesTeach clinical skills in the assigned discipline.Use appropriate technology (including Canvas).Respond to email correspondence from coordinators and students in a timely manner.Communicate issues to didactic faculty, course coordinator and Clinical Coordinator and Program CoordinatorGrade clinical assignments (care plans, patient care worksheets, concept maps, SBAR, etc.) and provide timely feedback.Oversee 8 students per clinical group and complete all required clinical paperwork.Clinical hours are typically 12 hours per dayMonitor, evaluate, and document student achievement of learning objectives and outcomes.Conduct daily debriefing with their group of 8 students.Incorporate best-practice/evidence-based practice in nursing practiceQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experienceHold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.Minimum of a master's degree with a major in NursingCurrent certification in CPR (clinical supervision)Current immunization and background checks as required (clinical supervision)Demonstrated competence with the required knowledge and skill of the assigned content areaStrong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding professional education and the role of a nurse educatorCurrent license and background checks may also be required in other states based on the clinical locationUpon hire, official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions and one letter of recommendation will be required.Additional InformationHoly Family University seeks to foster an inclusive and healthy educational and work environment based on respect, the dignity of each person and the oneness of the human family.
