Position ***** MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADERPosition ***** This person is responsible to provide leadership and management for the department providing maintenance functions for the facility, including building utility systems, equipment maintenance and building and grounds maintenance. Ensures that the maintenance department objectives are met including project, cost, quality and safety factors.Reports ***** Maintenance Manager ***** Maintenance Team Leader is held accountable for equipment availability and capability. Maintenance Team Leader is accountable for hiring, training and development of a qualified maintenance staff.**Responsible to administer preventive maintenance programMaintain work order system for maintenance requestsResponsible for completion of repairs and projects ** General repairs, safety, breakdowns, hand tools, projects, building, machinery Advises shop managers when to replace vs. when to repair and when we need to call in outside expertsCapital equipment integrationDetermine if overtime is needed to support the plan and assign personnel accordinglyAdvise and assist the maintenance team members with technical supportConduct regular team meetingsEvaluate team members' skill level and performanceProvide support to team members to help them do their jobs - materials, supplies, instructions etc.Job Qualification **Educational Experience- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Experience- Ten or more years experience in industrial maintenance and proven supervision or management experience preferredPhysical Demands- The employee is required *stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floorexert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/orexert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/orexert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Visual Acuity- Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery.Hearing Ability- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.Working Conditions- The employee is subject ****high noise levels from operating machinesphysical hazards from moving equipment and production componentsbreathing fumes, dust and mistskin exposure to oils and cutting fluidswelding flashesThe employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.Attendance is an essential job function.Employees will operate in compliance of all recognized standards that Major Tool adheres to such as AS9100, ISO 9000, including all supporting policies and procedures
