TRCS will consider candidates that are either(a) already fully certified at time of application, or (b) on track to become fully certified by thefirst day of employment.Classroom Responsibilitiesâ— Guide and support The Renaissance community in fulfilling its mission and charter goalsâ— Establish and maintain positive relationships and constructive interactions with students,families, colleagues and administrationâ— Create and maintain an engaging and organized physical classroom environment, makinglearning accessible to all studentsâ— Maximize instruction, safe, and disciplined learning environment in which classrooms values,teaching points, process charts, and student work are clearly displayedâ— Uphold all school policies within the classroomâ— Model strong written and verbal skillsCurriculum and Instructionâ— Collaborate with grade team and coordinators to create rich, integrated units of studyâ— Full participate in grade-level team and curricular planning meetingsâ— Adhere to grade level pacing calendarsâ— Use lesson plans to help drive instructionâ— Submit necessary curriculum documents (e.g. curriculum maps, lesson plans) as requestedâ— Differentiate instruction in meaningful ways to support student learningâ— Collaborate with the Special Education department to help meet the needs of all studentsâ— Understand and implement interventions recommended for students as outlined by an IEP,support services or the counseling departmentAssessmentâ— Maintain organized records of anecdotal notes and assessmentsâ— Administer formal and informal assessments throughout the school yearâ— Use assessment data to modify unit plans, inform groupings, and support student referralsâ— Use assessment data to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learnersParent and Family Engagementâ— Establish and maintain ongoing positive relationships with familiesâ— Appropriately give and receive feedback to/from students, parents, staff and administrationâ— Keep families well-informed of student performance and progressâ— Provide feedback and guidance to classroom assistants
