We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join Kaiser Aluminum at our Newark Ohio plant just outside of Columbus!What you will be working **Support the development of safety & health programs.Conduct and coordinate safety training with a focus on Strategic Road Map compliance.Support compliance to OSHA regulations and Kaiser Aluminum policies/programs.Participate in safety related investigations.Communicate safety information.Maintain safety and health records (including OSHA recordkeeping).Ensure compliance with hearing conservation and respiratory protection.Must be able to walk/climb throughout all mill areas.Able to work at heights. · Assist in development of emergency response plans.Help resolve safety issues and complaints. Workers Comp. support.Update/revise safety training data, safety & health manual and safety reference information.Support the management of the Health and Safety Management System as a plant representative and be an active leader in the daily plant safety activities.Conduct audits of employee and contractor work sites against Kaiser Aluminum standards, regulatory standards (OSHA/MSHA/FRA), and for recognition of hazards.Understanding of Safety Management Systems such as OSHA 18001 and OSHA VPP. · Perform the above with minimal direction and through joint union management efforts.
