About the **$3+ billion-dollar asset management firm (investment partnerships, mutual fund, separately managed accounts, alternative and exchange traded funds) seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Associate. The ideal candidate will assist the finance/operations team in all areas relating to fund accounting,tax and financial reporting.Responsible for the financial reporting of multiple directly advised products including investment partnerships, an open-end mutual fund and separately managed accounts across several different platforms.Coordinate the tax process of an open-end mutual fund & multiple investment partnerships. Review tax workpapers, tax returns and K-1s as well as multiple-state filings and work on other tax-related matters.Responsible for completeness & accuracy of daily/monthly/annual accounting & performance reporting for all products and accounts.Coordinate with 3rd party fund administrators on daily & monthly NAVs and manage relationships with prime brokers, custodians and other external parties.Coordinate and review the audit processes and reports for both directly advised & sub-advised products.Coordinate on the performance reporting in compliance with GIPS standards, maintain necessary records and coordinate performance audits.Calculate & process fees for all applicable products and accounts.Coordinate with Legal & Marketing on marketing materials, DDQs, offering docs, regulatory & public company reporting requirements and other items.Coordinate, as needed, on all aspects of the firm's middle office, including trade processing/settlements, cash management and compliance.Provide guidance on accounting & tax standards and best practices and assist in the documentation of the Firm's accounting policies and procedures.Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.***6-10 years' work experience at an Audit Firm, Asset Management Firm, Hedge Fund and/or Mutual Fund, Fund Administrator or other financial institution.Knowledgeable in partnership accounting (financial & tax), K-1 analysis and state tax matters.Exposure to 40 Act Funds and related SEC regulatory reporting and taxation requirements.Strong attention to detail & organizational skills. Takes appropriate initiative and assumes responsibility.Ability to effectively & collaboratively work in a team-oriented environment without constant direct supervision. Able to communicate effectively with team members across various departments.BA required. CPA is a plus.Experience with Advent is a plus.Knowledge of Bloomberg and excellent Microsoft Excel skills.Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
