The successful candidate will have experience with MRO, capital expenditures, and plant fleet mobile equipment. This position will report to our corporate office in Moon, PA on a hybrid basis of two times per week. Come join our long standing, 150 year old company and take advantage of our generous benefits.Summary:The Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying and qualifying suppliers/products for an assigned single or group of global categories utilizing category management methodology. Key aspects of sourcing include understanding of global supplier base and internal needs, conducting supplier/product exploration and qualification, strategic sourcing, price negotiation and contract management, supplier relationship management, conducting appropriate sourcing events to drive cost reduction opportunities, identification and mitigation of supply risks.Job Responsibilities:Developing and executing global category management strategy, and delivering on agreed-upon key metrics to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performanceIdentifying and qualifying products for the indirect category of spend - MRO, Cap Ex, mobile equipment, facilities servicesGenerating and managing new project and productivity ideas based on strategic analysis and developing new sources of supply to support short-term and long-term business strategyParticipating in business planning and performance workshops with key supplier partners to optimize Supplier Relationship ManagementLeading contract negotiations in conjunction with legal and key strategic suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targetsGenerating and managing new project and productivity ideas based on strategic analysisPartnering with global peers to generate global supply strategy and extract maximum valueSupporting the HarbisonWalker Business System (HBS) including 5S by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrantRequirements:B.S. degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or related fieldRequires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteRequires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentRequires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze dataRequires knowledge of E Sourcing, contract writing, and project managementRequires strong supplier negotiation skillsRequires strong strategic thinking and business problem solving skillsRequires experience in quantitative analyticsRequires strength in delegationRequires strong industry-specific knowledge and the ability to manage supplier relationshipCPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) Certification PreferredThe Sourcing Manager III requires a track record of delivering high impact results and four (4) - six (6) years of professional experience with commodities purchasing including high level negotiation experience within manufacturing, writing contracts and managing categories with a minimum of $50 million annual spend.ABOUT USHarbisonWalker International BackgroundHWI is the largest supplier of refractory products and services in the United States.
