Our Full-time Engagements Professionals Practice (also referred to as F-TEP) is our premier "loan staff" division where we hire and retain Accounting and Finance professionals to our firm then loan them to our client for their mission critical projects.We are expanding our practice and looking to hire Staff Accountants We are searching for individuals that have experience in:Month End Close Accounting experience Preparing trial balancesMaintaining the general ledger chart of accountsReviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entriesPerforming account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accountsPosting monthly, quarterly and yearly accrualsPreparing financial statementsFixed assets and/or depreciation schedulesTax return prep (sales, state, property, excise, payroll, corporate or partnership)Audit supportVariance analysis and ad-hoc reportingReconciling sub-ledger(s) to general ledger account balancesPreparing financial statementsMaintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedulesAssisting with budget preparation and preparing monthly budget variance analysisAssessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areasAudit supportBelow is more information about this opportunity with Robert Half as well as the skillset and experience needed. As an employee of our practice, you will help scope, plan and execute a variety of Accounting & Finance projects/engagements. Your engagements will range from interim staff roles, such as Reconciliation, Month End, Audit prep/remediation etc. to implementing process improvement and over all attacking business challenges of our clients.As a member of our staff, you will participate in practice activities that include professional networking events and assisting our business development staff in staying abreast of industry trends and new business opportunities with your assigned clients. Additional compensation will be available for assistance in developing successful new business for Robert Halfs Full-Time Contract team. Our individuals need to be successful not only in a technical accounting/analysis, but also in client relationships and project management!We are searching for individuals with experience in:A thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis and journal posting is requiredThe ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization since they can be highly visible and interact daily with executive management, project team leaders, sales managers, and financial professionals.Ad-hoc reporting and variance analysisAdditional qualifications that we are looking for include:Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred not requiredA minimum of 2 years' industry experienceExperience working in at least 1-2 accounting & finance ERP systems, preferred not requiredMicrosoft Excel, pivots & look ups are a must; macros and financial modeling, preferred not requiredStrong mathematical and statistical knowledgeExcellent technology and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other financial software expertiseCapability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills
