Who We Are and What We DoGNS America was established in 2009. Our core business is in conventional stamping, hot stamping, welding, and assembly. Our tool and die capability offer simulation and full design and build activities.Hot and Conventional StampingGNS offers a complete range of stamping equipment. Our stamping facilities can cater to any required automotive and industrial stamping requirements. In our automotive operations, we have a full range of stamping capabilities in the 100 ton to 800 ton range, in multiple locations. Our stamping capabilities span a variety of metals.Laser CuttingGNS is a recognized leader in the use of laser technologies, GNS utilizes multi-axis laser cutting technology. Our multi-axis lasers are used for both prototyping and our large volume production for the automotive industry. In addition to cutting flat metal, GNS provides trimming and hole piercing services for three-dimensional parts. Our lasers have the versatility to cut a variety of metals with varying thickness and degrees of complexity.WeldingAt GNS, we use spot welding in the welding of Ultra High Strength Steel and Press Hardening parts. Our welding and assembly cells are highly automated. We use automated robots to perform several of the most complex and precise operations inside the welding cells to achieve maximum cost reduction and ensure we produce the highest quality products for our customers.Position Summary:Responsible for the planning and coordination of all production activities to ensure that the company production targets are met and ensure that the entire production process runs smoothly and cost effective.Essential Responsibilities:· Manage and coordinate manufacturing activities within the production area to ensure the achievement of production and quality expectations.· In accordance with company policies and procedures, selects, trains, develops, motivates, reviews and monitors all staff to ensure effective and safe operations.· Establish department programs which support cross training, acquisition of multiple skills, teamwork and cooperation in group problem solving.· In conjunction with the objectives received from the management team and working with other departments, develop all planning for the production area on an annual basis.·Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relations between the production area and other areas of production.·Participate in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation on an ongoing basis.· Keep work area clean and well organized in a 5S manner.· Maintain safety standards in the workplace.· Ensure Quality in the workplace.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and Experience:Bachelor degree in business, engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience10+ years of experience in production, production planning (MRP), DDL and logistic preferably in an automotive industry.5+ years in production leadership positionKnowledge:Knowledge of quality control, cost reduction, materials and productions processes; Knowledge of press operation, machine and tools; Knowledge of inventory management & control; Familiarity with the purchasing function and die tooling; Knowledge of lean manufacturing.Skills:Excellent organizational and leadership skills; Good interpersonal skills; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Excellent business planning and resource allocation skills to meet goals; Sets an example for coworkers, delegates responsibility and empowers associates to make decisions, takes personal accountability for decisions.Abilities:Ability to formulate business plans with measurable desired outcomes, translates action plans into quantifiable and realistic goals with associated deadlines for self or others; Ability to define and solve problems; Ability to build and maintain strong teams; Ability to recognize people strengths and maximize their potential in their weakness.Training Requirements:1.
