You will be responsible for select assigned operations focused on the procurement of materials, services and supplies needed for the manufacturing operations of Penn Color. You will also assist in maintaining many of the records, databases and processes within the department and interact professionally with all levels of the organization.Your Education will include:Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management, related field or the equivalent in education and work experienceYour Knowledge, Skills and Experience will include:3-5 years' minimum related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environmentExperience with the buying process, negotiation, global sourcing and project managementAbility to prepare formal procurement solicitations in compliance with Company business policies and any state procurement codeHands on experience using Material Requirements Planning applications in a contemporary ERP system (Oracle experience a plus)Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service qualityMust be highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple projectsAbility to multi-task in working with many different products and servicesA basic understanding of how to interpret and compare Terms and Conditions (and other legalese) and negotiate them if / when requiredUnderstanding of stocking programs/inventory planning tools, consignment and supply agreementsStrong skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PDF document controlExperience with KPI's and various analytical tools such as TableauExperience with ISO9001:2015 a plusMRO Buying Skills:A basic understanding of what "MRO" is and familiarity with the following:MRO products and suppliersBuying capital equipment (including replacement parts)Ordering services (testing, calibration and building services)Packaging Buying Skills:A basic understanding of various types of packaging and familiarity with the following:Packaging specificationsPackaging suppliersWorking with an internal team (Management, Sales, Product Stewardship) to evaluate and select qualified packaging)Raw Material Buying Skills:A basic understanding of various types of raw materials and familiarity with the following:Chemical raw material suppliers (Pigments, Resins, Solvents, Additives)Managing raw material suppliersWorking with an internal team at multiple plant locationsWhat YOU Can Do For UsPurchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organizationQualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and servicesTracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor informationConduct research on suppliers and prepare all aspects of procurement solicitations, including review and negotiation of contracts and their terms, conditions, scope of work, customer compliance, delivery, quantity, payment, change orders, etc.Onboard suppliers and ensure their compliance and ability to perform without errorAct as liaison between vendors and department heads for procurement procedures, order status and problem resolutionRecommend continuous improvement in cost reduction, quality and on time deliveryResolve bid disputes and conformance issuesManage vendor audits, COA compliance and SCAR resolutions (Certificates of Analysis; Supplier Corrective Action Requests)Employ inventory management techniques to balance inventory optimization with replenishment needsWork with other members of the supply chain team to identify obsolete materials and coordinate dispositionPerform all other duties as assignedWhat WE can do for YOUPenn Color offers many tangible and intangible benefits to our full time employees:Tangible benefits include:Highly competitive compensationA choice between 3 outstanding medical plans 401K with a strong company match PTO to balance your lifeAdditional company perksAnd More!Our intangible benefits really set us apart:Unmatched company stabilityLong-term career opportunityTrue open door, friendly environmentAbility to "own" your roleCompany events that bring us all togetherIf you desire a long-term career, want to work alongside an exceptional group of people, and wish to use your talents to shape a world-class company, then we are your employer of choice!
