AKA Hotels + Hotel Residences is seeking a detail-oriented Catering and Conference Services Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of conferences and events for Hotel AKA Boston Common!Focusing on managing and expanding the propertys group and catering accounts. The candidate will not only maintain existing relationships but also forge new ones to secure a steady stream of catering business. This role is suited for someone with a robust hospitality background, particularly in catering, and who thrives in a team-oriented and creative work environment. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional conference experiences, have familiarity with the Boston Metro market and possess the required skills, we invite you to apply!Team Member Responsibilities: Audit group contract and Delphi contacts and bookings, to ensure accuracy of dates, VIP requests and blocked meeting spaceProactively sell meeting and event space for eventsUtilize prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo, uncover new accounts, targets and messaging for catering outreach in local neighborhoodUse Delphi CRM daily for to enter client information, key activities, pipeline, and communicationPrimary contact for meeting planner after signing of group contract and responsible for planning/finalizing details until after group departs, ensuring a successful group and repeat bookingsPartner with Food and Beverage restaurant and banquet teams, Accounting, Front Office, and Operations teams daily to communicate updates to billing procedures, menus, meeting space set-up, and VIPsCreate and process Banquet Event Orders and Banquet Checks in a timely manner for the clients, accommodating any changes that are within scope and communicating with teamDistributes Banquet Event Orders and group resumes to appropriate hotel departments on a weekly basisShare feedback from clients on menus and post wrap-up events with Director of SalesSupport the Director of Sales by prepare reports and additional tasks as requestedRequired Skills Strong guest service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Energetic, self-starter, and detail-orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time management, and organization skills with an emphasis on attention to detailExceptional interpersonal skills and able to interact with a diversified group of people both internally and externallyFlexible and adaptable to daily frequent changes in a fast-paced environmentDesired Qualifications: Bachelors degree (B.
