Bonus Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, or combination of post-secondary education and related experienceMinimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a large manufacturing environmentAbility to research, compile, analyze and interpret data accurately and timelyExperience with inventory evaluations and controls, standard cost, and variance analysisProficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)Highly skilled in SAP FI & CO module, with a sound working knowledge of large ERP systemKnowledge of SAP Business Objects preferred but not requiredSound knowledge of Accounting StandardsDemonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skillsInterprets and applies understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisionsPlans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goalsSecures and deploys resources effectively and efficientlyGains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticityDemonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and SustainabilityTypical day-to-day duties:Involvement with key month-end closing activitiesPrepares monthly reporting metrics for presentation to local and business area managementAnalyzes and interprets operating results and makes specific recommendations for cost reduction and profitability improvementPrepares and analyzes cost variance analysis reporting and commentaryStock evaluations including but not limited to maintenance and consumption of parts analysisPerforms financial analysis of investment proposals, prepares capital requests and provide proper ROI documentationSupports forecasting and budgeting processImplements and enforces company policies and controlsRegular interaction with technical support departments concerning controlling and inventory processes
