The Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes within the manufacturing environment. This role involves managing procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution to ensure the efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials and products. The Supply Chain Manager works closely with various departments, including Production, Quality, Engineering, and Finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.Key Responsibilities not limited to:Supply Chain Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's manufacturing goals and objectives.Forecast demand, plan production schedules, and manage inventory levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, transportation delays, and inventory shortages.Procurement & Supplier ManagementManage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and components.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timely delivery.Inventory ManagementImplement inventory management strategies to maintain accurate inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve turnover.Monitor and analyze inventory data.Logistics & DistributionManage logistics operations, inbound transportation, and warehousing..Ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials and products, optimizing routes and carrier selection.Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory accuracy.Process Improvement & EfficiencyIdentify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Lead cross-functional teams in projects aimed at improving supply chain performance.Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to supply chain operations.Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics such as lead times, inventory levels, and cost savings.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.BA degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field a plusMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.Professional certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plusExperience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
