This is why your career with our company can be so satisfying, rewarding and worthwhile.About the Role:Our manufacturing facility in Mt Union, PA, is looking for a Manager of Environmental Health and Safety. In this role the Manager will eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage. They will work with a team to protect or improve air, land and water resources in order to provide a clean and healthful environment.Responsibilities:Implement program to improve Performance Expectations for industrial injuriesManage through all incidents and be available 24 hours per dayManage the record keeping (OSHA, Investigations, Training, etc.) and provide analysis to management for assistance in decision makingPerform or organize all Safety Training as required by OSHA and MRCG, Be the role model for safetyBe the plant liaison for all new and ongoing MRCG Initiatives, Lead the Safety Committee and drive employee participationEnvironmental Ensure that the plant has no compliance issuesProvide oversight for all medical programs including Workers Compensation, Short-Term Disability, Family & Medical Leave Act, etcQualifications:Bachelors degree in related fieldRequired Skills:A minimum of 2 years Management experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment with at least 400 employeesExperience Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulationsWorking knowledge of budgets and financials statementsDemonstrated record of establishing or maintaining safe work environmentsPlanning experience including an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6 month to 1 year time spanProblem analysis and problem resolutionExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsKaizen techniques
