This is an incredible opportunity for a professional who is looking to use their expertise in Commercial, Municipal, Land Planning, Management, and Architecture to make a significant impact on our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the land development department, managing a team of dedicated professionals, and leading the planning and execution of various land development projects. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the engineering industry.ResponsibilitiesAs the Permanent Land Development Department Manager, your core responsibilities will include:1. Leading and managing the land development department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.2. Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure smooth execution of land development projects.3. Overseeing the design and implementation of land development projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.4. Developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the land development department in line with the organization's business goals.5. Providing technical expertise and advice on complex land development projects.6. Reviewing and approving project designs and reports, ensuring they comply with relevant regulations and standards.7. Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and other professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.8. Representing the organization in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification will be an added advantage.2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on land development.3. Extensive knowledge of commercial and municipal land development, land planning, and architecture.4. Proven experience in managing a team and leading complex land development projects.5. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.7. Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including CAD, GIS, and project management tools.8. A thorough understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in land development.9.
