Loan Asset Administration Analyst, Investment OperationsFull-TimeNew York, NY or Springfield, MA, Boston, MAThe OpportunityAs a Loan Asset Administration Analyst in our Investment Operations organization, you are responsible for transaction processing and oversight over the lifecycle of invested assets and their portfolios for the Company. This includes assisting in onboarding new asset managers and investment types, relationship management, customer support, general ledger balancing, reporting, reconciliations, payment validations, complex transaction processing and supporting internal audit processes. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines timely and effectively, identifying and implementing process improvements where necessary.The TeamThe Investment Operations team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively. To be successful on this team, you must have a strong attention to detail, be able to manage competing priorities, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a continuous improvement mindset.The Impact:As a Loan Asset Administration Analyst, you will need to have advanced knowledge of back-office securities operations functions. You will maintain the lifecycle of the assets in accordance with established policies and procedures, which may include:Validate expected cash flows related to investmentsResearch, analyze, validate and process security related transactions (redemptions, corporate actions, etc) on the accounting system, many times collaborating with others across the organizationPerform reconciliations, including exception oversight, analysis and resolutionTriage and prioritize scheduled work as well as ad-hoc requests as receivedPartner with vendors, banks and Investment Managers on identifying and resolving position breaksMaintain and improve workflows and procedures as neededReconcile general ledger suspense lines on a daily and monthly basisTraining of new team membersThe Minimum Qualifications5+ years working in the financial services sector in similar investment operations capacityThe Ideal Qualifications5+ years working in bank loans, private finance equity or public securities structuresFour-year Bachelor"s Degree preferredExperienced in back-office securities operations or similar (reconciliation of cash to receivables/payables)Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)SAP experienceAdvanced Banking, Treasury, Investment experienceKnowledge of syndicated loansAbility to problem solve and resolve issues independently, and know when to escalate appropriatelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and a numerate analytical approach are crucialStrong inter-personal skills to facilitate collaboration and building positive working relationshipsRisk and controls awarenessRecognition of patterns and trends in data operations and identify opportunities for improving processes and systemsMust be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the futureWhat to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the TeamRegular meetings with the Investment Operations teamFocused one-on-one meetings with your managerAccess to mentorship opportunitiesNetworking opportunities including access to Asian, Hispanic/Latinx, African American, women, LGBTQIA+, veteran and disability-focused Business Resource GroupsAccess to learning content on Degreed and other informational platformsYour ethics and integrity will be valued by a company with a strong and stable ethical business with industry leading pay and benefits#LI-MM1MassMutual is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
