Duties and Responsibilities: Set up, lay out, and tack up precision frame weldments and brackets Tack and weld structures to tight tolerances Weld precision frames to exact specifications Achieve required cosmetic finish using angle grinders and sanders Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols MIG weld mild steel and perform plasma cutting Square up and weld various component geometries Interpret and apply weld form symbols and fillet sizes Weld in both vertical and horizontal planes Prepare edges for welding Utilize effective setup techniques Inspect incoming and completed products for quality control Manage fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent defects Maintain a clean and organized work area Operate MIG welders, spot welders, grinders, torches, power tools, clamps, forklifts, and cranes (with training) Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally Stand for long periods, squat, push, pull, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity About the Company: CMC of Georgia, Inc. is both an OEM supplier and a custom metal fabricator.
