Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Maintenance Technicians Shift: 2nd shift Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-3:50am Pay: $27.02-$37.02 (pay is based on skills, education, and experience) Location: Eau Claire We offer a competitive benefit package that includes the following (and more)! This includes welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. Maintenance Technicians are also responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure it is running efficiently and to prevent breakdowns. Principle Duties & Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and machineryTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment issuesPerform preventative maintenance on equipmentMaintain equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working conditionKeep accurate records of maintenance and repair workCommunicate with other departments to ensure equipment is running efficientlyEnsure compliance with all safety regulationsContinuously improve maintenance processesOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: High school diploma or GEDPreferred 3+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machineryExperience with welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machineryStrong Electrical knowledgeStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with safety regulationsAbility to read and understand technical manualsStrong communication and interper sonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Conditions: Noise and dirt level is typical to that of a manufacturing environmentMust be able to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs, and stand for long periods of timeMust be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to work in conditions with regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, heights, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other possible hazardous conditionsSafety Glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; a respirator is required for specific operations Veritas Steel is an equal opportunity employer.
