Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shipyard Pipefitter to join our shipbuilding and repair team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipe systems aboard marine vessels, including ships and barges. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret ship drawings and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality in a demanding environment. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret marine piping drawings, schematics, and specifications. Fabricate, install, and modify piping systems for water, fuel, hydraulics, steam, and air systems aboard vessels. Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipe using hand and power tools. Lay out, align, and secure piping systems according to specifications. Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of installed piping systems. Install hangers, supports, and brackets for pipe systems. Work with a variety of materials including copper-nickel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and PVC. Collaborate with welders, shipfitters, and other trades to complete complex marine projects. Adhere to all shipyard safety standards and regulations, including confined space and hot work protocols. Document all work performed and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors. Requirements: 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter in a shipyard or marine environment. Ability to read and interpret ship drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals. Must be able to tack weld Aluminum Knowledge of shipboard systems and marine piping codes and standards. Skilled in using pipe fabrication tools and machinery. Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in physically demanding environments. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. #promote
