TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Parts Assistant working out of our terminal in Des Moines, Iowa. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function of a Parts Assistant is to assist the Parts and Warranty Specialist in the parts department with inventory, ordering, vendor management, stocking, warranty, etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Stocking shelves • Inventory control and cycle counts • Inner company shipments and deliveries • Parts pick up and deliveries • Clean and organize warehouse • Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: • Previous experience in warehousing or a distribution center is preferred, but not required. • Must be at least 18 years old • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment • Must be able to follow detailed instructions • Ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs. • Computer skill and previous inventory management is a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Must be able to lift 100lbs repetitively and overhead • Must be able to climb on/off trailers throughout the shift
