Position: Property AccountantLocation: Columbus, OhioCompensation: Starting salary at $65,000Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site What You'll Do: Manage Property Financials: Oversee all aspects of accounting for a diverse portfolio of properties, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use. General Ledger: Handle the general ledger for property-related transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Reconcile Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of tenant accounts, landlord accounts, and property-specific general ledgers. Lease & Rent Roll Analysis: Manage rent rolls, ensure accurate lease accounting, and assist with monthly rent calculations and payments. Month-End Close: Lead month-end close processes for property accounts, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported. Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed property-specific financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. Tax & Compliance: Assist in ensuring tax compliance for properties and collaborate with auditors during year-end audits. What We're Looking For: Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or related industries. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with property management systems (Yardi, AppFolio, etc.) is a plus. Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage complex accounts with precision. Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with property managers, tenants, and vendors. Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze financials, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
