Structural Steel Erection EstimatorGPAC is seeking a knowledgeable Structural Steel Erection Estimator for immediate consideration. GPAC's client is a full service, turn-key construction company specializing in all erection-oriented projects. They specialize in various commercial and industrial complex steel structures.Responsibilities:Understand the project and its requirementsDetermine key variables for cost and other estimatesConduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate personsBuild relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)Explore documentation in order to gain a deeper understanding of the project requirementsSelect, measure and track important metricsPrepare relevant and reliable forecastsCreate and present reports to upper managementRead blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents in order to prepare estimatesCollaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracyMaintain thorough records of all project documentation including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation Required Qualifications and Skills:Proficient with design drawings, architectural & structural drawings, & project specsAt minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience, particularly in the vertical/steel construction marketMust be able to complete a steel erection/construction estimate from start to finish with no supervisionMust be a team-playerUnderstanding of construction documents, change orders, & requests for information (RFI"s) We offer competitive wages, excellent benefits, and career longevity.Job Type: Full-timeContact for more informationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
