Company:Gpac is partnering with an exceptional international debt and asset recovery firm looking for their next Senior Corporate Counsel!Position Overview:The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as the Company"s principal attorney reporting directly to the Managing Members and responsible for overseeing all legal matters, providing legal advice to the executive team, manage client"s cases in litigation, managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, reviewing contracts, and representing the company in legal proceedings, essentially acting as the primary legal advisor to the company leadership.Experience:The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with law firm and/or in-house experience. Proficiency and/or experience in at least one of the following disciplines:First or second chair civil litigation trial experience.Creditors" rights.Litigation Management.Bar: Currently licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, Texaspreferred.Duties:Client Litigation Management: reviewing client"s files, evaluating and preparing client"s files for litigation, forwarding client"s files to appropriate outside counsel for litigation, and providing litigation management of client"s files.Legal Advice: providing legal counsel to the company's executives and management on various legal issues affecting the business. Contract Negotiation: overseeing the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements entered by the company.Compliance: ensuring that the company complies with relevant laws and regulations in its operations and business activities.Risk Management: identifying and managing legal risks that the company may face, and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.Litigation Management: overseeing legal disputes and coordinating with external law firms when necessary to handle litigation matters.Corporate Governance: advising on matters related to corporate governance and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Intellectual Property: managing and protecting the company's intellectual property, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights.Employee Relations: providing legal guidance on employment-related matters, including contracts, policies, and disputes.Staying in the loop: keeping up to date with changing legislation (particularly in relation to the interests of the organization)All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
