Electrical Maintenance Repair Technician Overview:The Electrical Maintenance Repair Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production operations by providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the capability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing complex issues and implementing safe, effective solutions to maintain continuous production.Key Responsibilities:Utilize ammeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test connections, trace circuits, and verify component compatibility and safety.Maintain and repair wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other essential manufacturing equipment components.Replace and install circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, and various electrical/electronic components.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures to minimize downtime.Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment breakdowns.Respond promptly to facility emergencies and production equipment malfunctions.Perform equipment lockout procedures to ensure workplace safety.Analyze and troubleshoot PLC programs using a PC.Work with low-voltage systems, DC/AC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), encoders, and transducers.Read schematics and interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting and repairs.Maintain electrical systems for the facility, including HVAC systems.Collaborate with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers to resolve complex issues.Train junior team members to enhance departmental expertise.Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned to support operational objectives.Required Skills & Abilities:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical-mechanical issues.Initiative to take on new challenges and continuously develop technical skills.Adaptability to meet changing production demands.Familiarity with ERP systems such as Plex is a plus.This role offers the opportunity to apply technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the reliability of critical systems and supporting overall operational success.Please submit a resume for consideration.
